Seriously?

I know it is hard to imagine but my saga with the walk in clinic continues. Prior to hearing anything from them, on Monday I had made an appointment with a family Dr. that was in the same practice as MaryCate's pediatrician. His name is Dr. Snoodgrass and he is HILARIOUS. I saw him on Friday and after asking me a number of questions and looking me over he basically told me that he thought I did not have mono. There was no guarantee but he wanted to treat me for what he knew I did have---which was tonsilitis and a UTI. He said I probably had the flu as well and that was why I was puking so much. He agreed that the walk in clinic was a bad idea and they were probably just trying to put a label on something. To be honest I was VERY suspicious since everything I had heard and read said that the mono test took 5 minutes and they did not have an answer for me until 5 days later. Needless to say I have been on the RIGHT meds now through the weekend and I am feeling a lot better. My throat is still a bit sore but I am not that sleepy and I am feeling back to my old self, thank goodness.

I learned a ton throughout the process----especially that I LOVE taking care of MaryCate. Although I may complain about getting up with her in the morning, after 1 or 2 mornings of Chris doing it, I wanted to do it so much. I missed playing with her and feeding her. I am so thankful for the chance to be home with her and would not trade it for the world.

I also learned that we have such great friends. So many people offered to come help out, and our friend Kristin Cofer did come down for 3 days last week and was a HUGE help. She took MC for walks so I could rest, watched her while I went to the Dr. and helped Chris out around the house. It would have been a really long week without her. Hopefully tomorrow will only bring a healthier day. I am looking so forward to welcoming my good friend Kate (we went to EauClaire together) tomorrow. We also have some friends coming in from Denver with their little boy Zeke to watch the national Championship game---I am cheering for Michigan State because if they win I will win the bracket at my dad's work!!!

MC loves hanging with KC

Kristin is going to kill me for including this picture but I thought it was really cute
