Yes, it is also true Auntie Trista has finally arrived in Wisconsin (its hard to get any of us Mustaine’s to leave the state of FL but Trista bared the elements and made it) and Mary Cate couldn’t be more pleased to see her. So pleased that MC has been putting up just some unbelievable numbers with her eating and breathing stats.
Let us start with the eating stats. She has broken the barrier today of 29cc (this is about where she was before she had that little problem of turning blue and had to have her feeds cut back in half). She is also on 1 part formula and 3 parts Mom’s Milk (which Brigit could not be more happy about) and she is tolerating the new feedings and the new feedings amount as well. So the feedings are moving along swimmingly.
The next update is breathing and then finally her weight. MC’s breathing is going very well. She has not turned blue in a week or so and she is slowly getting weaned of her O2 (so much so that I overheard the doctors and nurses discussing when they thought MC was going to be moved up to Ped’s and out of the NICU). No one get crazy, I don’t think it is happening for a few weeks yet but it is very exciting that they are even talking about. Finally, she is also almost 1800 grams (or 4lbs) which is a big weight because once she exceeds those two marks is when she is eligible to go from the isolette to an open crib. So overall MC is doing well and our only 2 prayer requests are that she continues to progress as she has been and that the Lord will show us where we are supposed to live in Ft Myers. Thanks for all the prayers.
